Why does my converter change the movie from widescreen to an unusuall fullscreen?

I have been using isquint to convert .avi to .mp4, but with the last movie, it converted it, but it squezed it down to a full screen instead of the widescreen aspect ratio i wanted. How can i get it to convert without changing it?Why does my converter change the movie from widescreen to an unusuall fullscreen?It sounds like it's trying to convert it to full-screen size for an ipod. Try looking around in the settings, and see if there's an option somewhere to convert to widescreen instead of fullscreen.
