How to change the game display resolution in Acer laptop?

Hi,

i have acer 5738G laptop, i am facing some problem while i play games.i have 15.4 inches screen with 16:9 aspect ratio, when i play games, the games are not coming full screen, black screen comes beside the left and right of games screen.it appears to all the games. i don't no what exactly do i have to do to get the full display.. can anybody tell the solution for the problem.How to change the game display resolution in Acer laptop?This all depends on the game itself. Why, you ask? Well, if a game was designed for a standard 4:3 ratio, and you force it into a 16:9 ratio, it will cause all the characters to look fat and short... it will distort the dimensions and the way the game looks... and lets face it, game designers spend more than half the time of designing the game, on making it look a VERY specific way. Think about that.



So, if the game designers decided that a game should allow for letterboxing, or a 16:9 display ratio, then it would be in the video settings of the game. That is the first place you should look. There is no way to make the Acer FORCE every game to spread out across the screen.
