How do i change the Aspect ratio to widescreen on final cut pro?

im not talking about the bars that cover the top and bottom



i actually need to change the aspect ratio

i ripped it from a DVD where it was 16/9 or 2.35/1



not sure which, but the point is, it changed to 4/3 while capturing it to final cut, and now everything is tall and skinny, how do i change it back in final cut pro.How do i change the Aspect ratio to widescreen on final cut pro?Double click on a clip to load it into the viewer. click on the MOTION tab in the upper right corner of the viewer window then select distort, you should be able to play with this to get it to look right.
